Hi, I’m Becky.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked at the intersection of ecology, agriculture, and community. At The Colour Farm, I was a farmer-florist, growing and creating seasonal bouquets, fresh flowers for weddings, big life events and just because it was Tuesday. A founding member and executive director of the Upper Canada Fibreshed, I connected agricultural textile networks across Ontario. Both of these projects were passions that took on a life of their own from 2015-2025.
Educationally speaking, I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University where I completed a 200-hour practicum placement at Amelia Rising Sexual Violence Support Centre in 2025. From 2010-2012 I followed curiosity through a Master of Science in Capacity Development and Extension from the University of Guelph, where I collaborated on research on organic farming in Bhutan, food security in the Canadian Arctic, and ended up with a lot of hands-on farming experiences across Ontario and Quebec. From 2003-2007 I socialized my way through an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Art History at Wilfrid Laurier University, then moved to Australia for year – that was a whole other kind of education.
Personally, I’m a mother of two earthside, partner, daughter, sister, best friend, and divorced co-parent. You’ll mostly find me to be a human having a human experience.
